I am always excited to see how design interacts with people. Design makes a powerful impact on people, no matter what format it takes -- a toothbrush, an app, a work of art.
That excitement propelled me to study human-centered design at Northwestern where I am pursuing a Masters of Science in Engineering Design Innovation (EDI). The MS EDI program felt like the natural next step after I received my BS in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and completed an internship in package design.
In the story of design, the interaction between me and my users allows me to understand the character I am writing and recording the climax of the story. My innovative ideas and my engineering skill collaborated to create a hero in the story which can help my character get rid of the dilemma and live happily afterward.
